"where ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference"

Home

The Counselling Centre is a non profit organisation providing professional counselling, psychotherapy and training services in the south of Ireland.

The Centre, a registered charity since 1985 (CHY8911), is run by a dedicated team of professionals who provide counselling and psychotherapy to a broad range of people, particularly those who cannot afford to pay for private counselling. To find out about these services please click here.

Like many charities, our resources do not match our needs. As more and more people realise the importance of counselling in dealing with stress, bereavement, abuse and other problems the demands on The Centre and its staff increase. To help us meet the needs of the community and finance the Centre, we run a range of fundraising initiatives throughout the year and we also receive voluntary donations as well as some statutory funding. To find out more about our fundraising events please click here.

The Centre also runs a very successful Adult Education Training Institute. We provide aFoundation Course and we also run a professional Diploma for those interested in a career in professional counselling.

We are currently working towards offering our very first Top-Up Degree programme.

If you are already qualified we also run Supervision and other postgraduate training courses. To find outmore information on this please click here.
